Miscellaneous Industry Work

It took some time after graduating from USC before I got my first game design job. Here's the non-design work I did in the games industry.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
  • September 2014 - November 2014
  • QA Tester
  • Xbox One / PS4 / Xbox 360 / PS3 / PC

This was my first job in the games industry. I was contracted to Activision (via VOLT) to work on the latest Call of Duty game.

The job was team-based and incredibly fast-paced, since I joined shortly before the game's release.
The three main tasks of the job were:

  • Test newly-released builds to verify that old issues have been resolved.
  • Test the game for new issues using pre-arranged checklists.
  • Use JIRA software to log any new issues discovered.
Game Developers Conference
  • March 2014, March 2015
  • Conference Associate

I was a Conference Associate at the Game Developers Conference, years 2014 and 2015.
I was a volunteer in 2014, and a paid worker in 2015.

Throughout the week of GDC, I worked to make the conference attendees' experience as great as possible.
I scanned badges, curated installations, and ran miscellaneous errands.
